Director of Religious Education

Liza Spisto

Born a Unitarian Universalist, the church played an important role in Liza's early years. Her hope is that the children of our church will feel welcomed and appreciated, will be able to ask important questions, and will share concerns and be willing to try new things.  Through a variety of opportunities, they will experience our faith as one which values human dignity, diversity, fairness, justice, peace, and environmental responsibility.  Cultivating a sense of identity and belonging, youth will stay connected, finding meaning here that sustains them as they mature into adults.

Liza has served as our Director of Religious Education since September of 2005. Before joining us, she served the Westborough Unitarian Universalist Society from 1998 to 2005. She has a bachelors's degree from Clark University and a Master of Business Administration from Boston University. She is the mother of two children, Jim and Emily Spisto.
