Pianist Chad Bowles

Joseph Haydn:  Sonata in E Major, Hob.XVI:31
Enrique Granados:  Valses Poéticos
Heitor Villa-Lobos:  A Prole do Bebê Suite No 1
Franz Liszt:  Bénédiction de Dieu dans la solitude
Vincenzo Bellini/Franz Liszt:  Réminiscences de Norma

Chad is a master of his instrument and routinely hailed for his infectious enthusiasm and exacting virtuosity. Equally at home with lesser-known gems, as well as the standard repertoire, his performances have brought him to cities across the United States, Canada, and Europe including Toronto, Washington DC, Columbus, Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia, Toulouse and Montréal. His many recital appearances as a soloist and chamber musician have seen him in colleges and universities across the U.S., the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., and the La Gesse Festival in France. His recitals often feature commentary from the stage, something that his audiences have responded to very favorably..

Baroque Duo: Audrey Cienniwa on baroque cello and Paul Cienniwa on harpsichord

The program is as yet undecided. Audrey and Paul Cienniwa began playing as a duo in 1998 after meeting in Brussels as students. Since then, they have performed throughout New England and regularly in France, earning praise from the newspaper Le Dauphiné Libéré as “prestigious...magnificent...masterful.” As specialists in historical performance, their repertoire includes masterworks of the baroque and pre-classical periods.

Their recording of the Bach Viola da Gamba Sonatas (with violoncello piccolo and harpsichord) is available on the Whaling City Sound label www.paulcienniwa.blogspot.com.
